Angela Kim grew up in Orange County, California, and has lived in Carmel Valley, California, since 2007. Angela began renovating houses and making real estate investments in 2008 and has been serving the San Diego market since 2013. Given her warm, welcoming disposition and love of conversation, Angela can collaborate and befriend people from all backgrounds. She is incredibly driven and prioritizes kind, consistent, and concise communication and specializes in serving first-time homebuyers, young professionals, investors, and retirees.
Angela received a bachelor’s degree from University of California, San Diego in sociology with a double minor in music and law and a master’s degree from Cardiff University in the U.K. in sustainable transport planning. She took architecture and interior design courses from 2004 to 2006 at the Chelsea School of Design in London and has a photography certificate from the University of California, San Diego. She also interned at the city attorney's office in Washington, D.C. in 1998.
After receiving her master’s degree, Angela worked as a sustainable transport planner in Europe and Asia for nearly a decade. During her time in Europe, Angela also started her own business, Angie’s Bungalows, renovating and flipping houses. This contributed to her love of architecture and design and served as the impetus for pursuing her career as a Realtor® when she returned to the United States in 2007.
Outside of work, Angela spends her time volunteering at the Monarch School and serving on the board of the Hamilton Heart Foundation and the board of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA). Angela also enjoys dancing, cooking, hosting game nights and dinner parties, and spending quality time with her three children and dog.
